Hot Buttered Rum Spiced Cider

 

6 cups apple cider

1/2 tsp. whole cloves

1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

3 sticks cinnamon

 

Heat all ingredients to boiling in 5 quart saucepan over medium high heat, reduce to low and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.   Strain to remove cloves and cinnamon.

In cup, place 1 Tbsp. real butter. 1 Tbsp. brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. Rum

Fill with cider and stir.   Serve Hot.
